Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Unnanu, Inc. ("Unnanu", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites. It applies to unnanu.com and its subdomains, including hire.unnanu.com, talent.unnanu.com, search.unnanu.com, blog.unnanu.com, and jobs.unnanu.com (collectively, the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy at https://unnanu.com/privacy, which describes more broadly how we collect and use personal information.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used. Cookies set by us are "first-party cookies"; cookies set by other companies through our Site are "third-party cookies".
This policy also covers similar technologies that serve comparable purposes:
- Local storage (localStorage): browser storage that persists on your device until it is deleted. We use it to remember settings such as your cookie consent choices.
- Session storage (sessionStorage): browser storage that lasts only for the duration of your browser tab and is cleared automatically when the tab is closed.
- Pixels and tags: small snippets of code or invisible images that help measure how pages and content are used.
For simplicity, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies" in this policy unless stated otherwise.
2. The Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary (Essential)
These are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off in our preferences panel. They do not track you for advertising and are used only to provide core functionality, such as remembering your consent choices and keeping authorized administrators signed in.
Analytics (consent-based)
These help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated usage statistics (measurement ID G-NTC13FW29K on unnanu.com and most subdomains, G-S8WT5J5RL8 on hire.unnanu.com, G-115YQLSSTZ on blog.unnanu.com, and G-GXBWBNLS7F on search.unnanu.com) with IP anonymization enabled. We also send basic first-party analytics events, such as page views and scroll depth, to our own endpoint at /api/analytics. This first-party data stays with Unnanu, is used only to understand which content is useful, and is never used for advertising.
Marketing (consent-based, off by default)
This category controls the Google "ad_storage" consent flag through Google Consent Mode. The Site does not currently run third-party advertising networks, but the category exists in our preferences panel so that your choice is recorded and honored if marketing technologies are introduced in the future. Marketing is set to off unless you enable it or choose Accept All.
3. Cookie and Storage Inventory
The table below lists the specific cookies and browser storage items the Site sets:
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent | localStorage (first party) | Strictly necessary | Records whether you have responded to the cookie banner and your overall consent decision. | Persists until you clear your browser storage |
| cookie-preferences | localStorage (first party) | Strictly necessary | Stores your per-category consent choices (analytics and marketing) from the Manage Preferences panel. | Persists until you clear your browser storage |
| blog_session | Cookie (first party, httpOnly) | Strictly necessary | Authenticates administrators of our content management portal. This cookie is only set when an administrator signs in; ordinary visitors never receive it. | 7 days |
| evaluateLimitCrossed | sessionStorage (first party) | Strictly necessary | Enforces the once-per-session usage limit on the free AI resume keyword evaluator. | Cleared when you close the browser tab |
| _ga | Cookie (Google Analytics) | Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate usage statistics. Set only if you consent to analytics cookies. | Approximately 2 years |
| _ga_* | Cookie (Google Analytics) | Analytics | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4. Set only if you consent to analytics cookies. | Approximately 2 years |
4. How Consent Works on Our Site
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with two options:
- Accept All: enables both analytics and marketing categories.
- Manage Preferences: opens a panel where you can turn analytics and marketing on or off individually. Essential items are always on because the Site cannot function without them.
Your choices are stored locally on your device in the cookie-consent and cookie-preferences items described above. They are not sent to a third-party consent vendor. Based on your selection, we update Google Consent Mode v2: the "analytics_storage" flag is set to granted or denied according to your analytics choice, and the "ad_storage" flag is set according to your marketing choice. If consent is denied, the corresponding Google cookies are not used for those purposes.
Changing or withdrawing consent. You can change your mind at any time. Clearing this Site's data in your browser (specifically the cookie-consent and cookie-preferences items in local storage) will cause the consent banner to appear again on your next visit, where you can make a new selection. You may also delete the Google Analytics cookies directly through your browser settings at any time.
5. Third-Party Content and Embedded Media
Some pages on the Site embed content hosted by third parties, such as HubSpot-hosted media and video content. When you view a page containing embedded content, the hosting provider may set its own cookies or collect usage data under its own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control these third-party cookies. If you prefer to avoid them, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings; embedded media may still play in most cases.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting or support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. There is currently no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT signals, and our Site does not respond to them automatically. Instead, we honor the explicit choices you make through our consent banner and preferences panel, which give you direct control over analytics and marketing technologies regardless of your browser's signal settings.
7. How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
In addition to our consent banner, all major browsers let you manage cookies directly:
- View and delete cookies stored on your device, either individually or for all sites at once.
- Block third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies.
- Block all cookies from specific sites, or from all sites.
- Clear local storage and session storage as part of clearing site data.
These controls are typically found in your browser's settings under a section named Privacy, Privacy and Security, or Site Data. Please note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary items may cause parts of the Site to work incorrectly, and clearing our consent records will cause the cookie banner to reappear.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes to how we use consent-based cookies will be reflected in the consent banner and preferences panel.
